He, She, & Them. Restoring the Original Family

A united family eats from the same plate. But what happens when the plate is empty—and the fingers pointing are our own? He, She & Them is a courageous and soul-stirring journey into the roots of dysfunction within the Black family. This book doesn’t just place blame—it exposes the layers of pain, pride, and programming that continue to divide us from one another and from ourselves.

🖤A united family eats from the same plate.

Who is to blame for the mess that we are in right now? Do we blame the Black Man or do we continue to blame the Black Woman? Well, I am going to take my time with this question as I address it throughout the book. This is a touchy subject because our people have been so degraded and drug through the mud for so long; it is much easier to blame the “others,” but we refuse to take responsibly for the conditions of our own race. Now don’t get me wrong…I am aware that in the past, the blame unanimously hands down rested on the pink man/woman. The damage and destruction to our families and nation was delivered to our people by those who made it up in their minds that they were jealous, envious, and hateful towards those of color, and the end result would be to wipe the earth clean of such “diseased people. “Now that we are in the 21st century, the blame game continues, and although we are still under the “white supremacy” jailhouse roof, it is plain to see that we are the very ones who are keeping us in our grave conditions.

Dive into He, She & Them by Empress T’Malkia Zuri, a powerful exploration of the breakdown and restoration of the Black family. A must-read for healing, truth, and cultural restoration.

🔍 About the Book

Who is to blame for the mess we’re in right now? Do we blame the Black man? Or do we continue to blame the Black woman?

In He, She & Them: Restoring the Original Family, Empress T’Malkia Zuri doesn’t shy away from the uncomfortable questions. Instead, she leans in with wisdom, truth, and conviction, peeling back the historical trauma and internalized patterns that have plagued the Black family for generations.

This book dares to uncover:

  • How systemic destruction created division between Black men and women

  • The inherited pain and programming we unconsciously pass down

  • How white supremacy gave us the blueprint for our own destruction

  • The ways we continue to harm each other while claiming to love one another

This is not about judgment. This is about healing.

As Empress T walks the reader through personal insights, community history, and spiritual discernment, she exposes how generational trauma, gender confusion, mistrust, and self-hate are all tools used to destroy the original family unit. Yet, through that exposure, she also offers a path forward—a return to unity, honor, and responsibility within our own houses.

This book is a call to restoration. And restoration begins with truth.
