Author–Publisher Agreement

Welcome to Griot Publishing House. This Author–Publisher Agreement outlines the terms and conditions between the Author (you) and the Publisher (Griot Publishing House).
Please read this information carefully before signing or submitting your manuscript.
I. Representations and Warranties
The Author hereby represents and warrants that:
A. The Work is free of libel, plagiarism, breach of privacy, or misrepresentation of facts.
B. The Work does not infringe upon any copyright, proprietary right, or statute and contains no libelous material.
C. The Work is not in the public domain. The Author is the sole copyright holder with full authority to enter into this Agreement.
D. If the Work has been previously published, the Author retains all legal rights and permissions to republish under this Agreement.
E. The Author releases Griot Publishing House from all legal liability related to the contents of the Work or resulting actions.
F. The above representations are true as of the date this Agreement is signed.
III. Change Requests
Authors may request changes within 7 days of receiving their completed project.
All requested edits must be included in a single list.
Changes requested after the 7-day period or beyond the initial list will incur a $2.50 per page fee.
Adding new images or pages will require a separate quote based on the additional content.
IV. Formatting Notice
Please note that eBook formatting will differ from print formatting due to device variations, screen resolutions, and adjustable font sizes.
These differences are normal and do not constitute an error.
V. Manuscript Corrections and Editing
Griot Publishing House does not edit manuscripts unless editing services are purchased.
Authors must submit manuscripts that are fully spell-checked and proofread.
Editing services are available starting at $1.50 per page, payable with the initial down payment (50% of the total publishing cost).
IX. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be held liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
natural disasters, wars, labor disputes, terrorism, or acts of God.
X. Independent Parties
Nothing in this Agreement creates an employer–employee, agency, or partnership relationship.
Both parties act as independent entities.
XI. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the full understanding between the Author and Griot Publishing House.
No modifications are valid unless in writing and signed by both parties.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining sections remain in effect.

By submitting your manuscript or signing this Agreement, you acknowledge that you:

Agree to be bound by this contract
Confirm your legal authority to enter this agreement
